About Desert Place at Morrison Ranch

Desert Place at Morrison Ranch is a single family home community located at Sossaman and Guadalupe developed by Morrison Ranch. Desert Place is a contemporary residential neighborhood built on the agricultural heritage of the well-known Morrison Ranch and the City of Mesa.  It features beautiful homes with rural ranch character, tree-lined sidewalks and white rail fences. 

While Desert Place was developed by Morrison Ranch, is not a part of the Morrison Ranch Community Council. It differs from the Morrison Ranch communities in Gilbert in that there is no reclaimed water available. The result is a water-conscious landscape character lending itself to a desert-friendly design. Nevertheless, wide landscape setbacks and groves of sisso trees and shrubs provide a green, lush agrarian character. 

One of the amenities of a Morrison Ranch community is a landscape that includes real grass and trees in every front yard! The City of Mesa has approved this design which works in conjuction with low water use plants in the common spaces and rights-of-way that have been approved by the Arizona Department of Water Resources. Our landscape contractor also works closely with homeowners to ensure the yards and common areas are effectively watered with our precious resource.

There is a large north/south open space and recreation system featuring recreation facilities for all ages of residents. All homes are connected to the recreation areas by sidewalks and trails. Common area amenities include 2 volleyball courts, 2 full basketball courts, 3 fully covered Tot Lots for various ages, bar-b-ques with large serving and prep counters, plenty of picnic tables and benches throughout, and a large ramada structure perfect for small or large gatherings and community events.
